Needs From: United Way Volunteers

Performance Initiatives provides after-school academic support and youth development programming in Savannah. We are currently seeking volunteer tutors to assist students in reading and math.

What we’re seeking

Subjects: Reading and Math

Students: Ages 7–18

Commitment: Once a week, 2 hours per day (flexible scheduling)

Location: 2653 Causton Bluff, Savannah, GA 31404

Requirements:

Must pass a background check

Agree to random drug testing

21+ years old

Education/teaching background preferred (not required)

Enthusiastic about giving back to local youth

Performance Initiatives is looking for a reliable driver to help pick kids up from schools and take them to the Performance Initiatives location. Driver would need to be 25 years of age with a valid drivers license and must be able to pass both a background check and drug screening. Volunteers interested should be available between the hours of 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Facilities Maintenance Support

 

We have a need for an individual to repair several wooden rock climbing walls. Also, this volunteer will be able to perform any minor repairs as needed, such as painting and minor drywall repairs.

Physical and Skilled Labor

 

Media Support

Assist with the development of social media post creation, PowerPoint presentations, and mass mailings.
