OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this internship is for Intern to support and learn about Company’s/Nonprofit business and to gain valuable insight and experience. This tool will give an overview of expectations and responsibilities yet tailored to the intern’s role.
Qualities you should have
• Being organized – intern assistants must manage a lot of tasks. Keeping a schedule and managing your time is important.
• Creative thinking – you need to think of many ways to solve problems.•
• Resourcefulness – This means that you can accomplish goals without a lot of money or resources. You must be smart and use what you have already.
• Good listener – if you are helping people, you need to be able to listen to them.
• Effective Communication – Clear concise communication at all levels is important. At any time, you are not clear on a directive you must ask for clarification. Communicate challenges or barriers immediately to your supervisor at the same time, try to also share a potential solution/alternative. Establish the appropriate communication channel the person you’re communicating with prefers; example, do they prefer text, emails, or phone calls, additionally share your best channel of communication.
