Purpose: A Saturday Market Volunteer is to assist Forsyth Farmers’ Market at their table with tokens and assisting customers with questions and checkout.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist FFM staff at their table during the market
Length of Volunteer Shift: The market is from 9-1, but volunteers are needed to work from 7:30 to 2 p.m.
Time Commitment: Individuals can choose to sign up as recurring volunteers or one time volunteers. Forsyth Farmers’ Market does not require a time commitment for their volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Should be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Should be able to be on their feet, standing and walking around for the duration of two hours
Support: There is no training for the position. Each Saturday the volunteer checks in at the Forsyth Farmers’ Market information tent to be assigned a vendor to work with or tasks to complete. If there are questions, concerns, or issues during the shift, the Programs director, Market Operations Coordinator and/or Program & Development VISTA will be available to assist the volunteer.
Age Requirement: 16 and older
Dress Code: Respectful and comfortable clothing. You will be outside the entire time. Please dress according to the weather. Please wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes as you will be walking around a lot on pavement and grass.
