Organizational Overview :
Mixed Greens is a part of the Forsyth Farmers Market; who primary focus is to create sustainable food systems in the Savannah area . Mixed Greens is a group of Savannah residents with and without disabilities whose primary focus is Mindfulness , Whole Health and social justice. We have been apart of the Farmers Market since 2009. In addition to having community outreach programs, we seek to create a welcoming and inclusive community for all people with disabilities and backgrounds

The Whole Health Series :

Description: Whole Health Series- this program helps and assist people to have the understanding and practice connection of the mind body and spirit through learning deep breathing and meditation , learning basic nutrition tips
- Needs For the Whole Health Series :
- volunteers to take a picture for the class
- volunteer to pass out books and materials
- Assistant with teach facilitation of Whole Health Series
- Drive and pick up table and store materials from stores
- Help with planning a class management
Accessible Gardens
Description:Accessible Garden classes are used to learn and teach and provide ways for people with disabilities a way to learn easy ways to garden and grow plants and vegetables.
Needs For the Accessible Garden Class :
- Lumber to build the raised bed
- Seeds for planting
- Plastic Plant Pots
- Dirt / Soil
- Drive pick up table and ,material
- Table Set Up
Mixed Greens Promotion Days Saturdays at the Forsyth Farmers Market -
Description : The Saturday Mixed Greens promotion days will be announced by email or phone call . On Mixed Greens Promotion will be apart of the Community Spotlight of the Forsyth Farmers Market.
Needs For Mixed Greens Promotion:
- Assistance with picking up folding table from the Joy Cottage or my house - buying tabe for us to use
- Assistant with Table set up and take down
- Alternate Days and shifts for Saturday. Event
- Persons Interested in Community Outreach
- Greeters
Beloved Community Projects:
Description :This project focuses on discussing the daily experiences and intersections of people who are black ,disabled. The purpose of this program is to have a community conversation around racism and discrimination of people with disabilities
Needs For The Beloved Community Project Zoom Conference
- Student Monitors for Breakout Rooms Preferably Public Health , Sociology , Psychology ,History and Political Science
