As a Volunteer Medical Screener, you'll play a crucial role in our blood collection operations by performing essential medical screenings for potential blood donors. This opportunity involves actively supporting blood donors at our blood drives where your contributions will help ensure the safety and well-being of our donors and recipients.
- Engage with Blood Donors: Collect and confirm donor demographics to ensure accurate records.
- Assess Eligibility: Determine donor eligibility for procedures, making sure they meet the necessary criteria.
- Perform Health Screenings: Conduct or assess results of physical exams, including checking oral temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and hematocrit levels, following established procedures.
- Training will be 40 hours per week for 4 consecutive weeks through a combination of both virtual and in-person training. Please ensure your schedule can accommodate 4 consecutive weeks of training.
