Inspiritus Refugee Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to serve as Summer Camp Chaperones for refugee youth next week! As a chaperone, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for young refugees to explore, learn, and have fun during their summer break.
Volunteers may sign up for the whole week or select days to dedicate, but must be available for the full shift! 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, July 10 - July 14. Note, some days include a local field trip.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing a variety of recreational and educational activities for refugee youth aged [age range].
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of camp participants at all times.
- Foster an atmosphere of respect, acceptance, and cultural exchange among campers from diverse backgrounds.
- Engage with the youth, offering support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the camp experience.
- Collaborate with fellow volunteers and camp staff to coordinate daily schedules, organize logistics, and manage any potential challenges.
- Adhere to camp policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting privacy rights.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, empathy, and tolerance among campers.
- Must pass a background check
