Earth Day Savannah is back and a little different this year! On Saturday April 23rd, the City will host three simultaneous events in parks around the City as a kickoff for the 100% Savannah initiative, which is the City's pathway to 100% renewable electricity community-wide by 2035. This particular posting is for Live Oak Park, which is on the east side of the City in the Benjamin Van Clark neighborhood.
Each community event will have food, children's activities, music, and lots of good information about clean energy, energy efficiency, educational and job training opportunities, and healthy living. Volunteers will help with set up and break down, serve food, manage other volunteers, assist with parking, support exhibitors in providing activities, and supervise activities like bounce houses.
