What We Do
Our Mission:
United Way Volunteers, a direct service of United Way of the Coastal Empire, shares a mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.
United Way Volunteers strives to reach this mission by connecting individuals, families, corporate, and community groups to results-driven service opportunities; mobilizing community volunteers around National and International days of service and recognition; and promoting professionalism in Volunteer Administration by providing free training, consultation, and development opportunities for nonprofit professionals responsible for managing volunteers.
United Way Volunteers shares United Way of the Coastal Empire’s Core Values which illustrates how I CARE:
· Integrity, Inclusiveness and Diversity
· Catalyst for Change
· Accountable Stewardship
· Responsive to Human Service Needs
· Encouraging Collaborative Relationships
Our Goals:
- To promote and expand short term-projects and long-term volunteering opportunities in our community
- To provide a central resource center for information and referrals to volunteering opportunities
- To identify critical community needs through meaningful volunteering service projects and to mobilize volunteers in response to those needs
