Who We Are

Faith Equestrian, established in 2006, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) Premier accredited therapeutic / adaptive riding equestrian center located in Effingham County. We are one of only six centers in the state of Georgia, the only center in the lower eastern quadrant of the state, that holds this premier accreditation.  As a PATH Premier Accredited Center, FETC is authorized through the Wounded Warrior Project and PATH to offer equine assisted services to Veterans and military personnel. Our mission at Faith is to improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs / disabilities through the transformational healing power of horses.

Lessons are skills based to help the participants build self esteem, promote mindfulness & grounding, along with improving core strength and balance. The use of horses in therapeutic/ adaptive riding and equine assisted activities (groundwork) uses the movement of the horse to help both the body and the brain to develop skills and create bonds & friendships. By design, the program helps improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs and disabilities.

What We Do

Faith provides goal-oriented equine assisted activities both on the ground as well as adaptive / therapeutic riding to children and adults with physical, mental, and emotional barriers. We serve children, adults, veterans, elderly, individuals with or without a diagnosis and all who seek connection and healing.

Our programs include: equine assisted learning (EAL) where we offer a HorsePowered Reading Program to local schools and homeschool groups, an adaptive / therapeutic riding program on weekdays & Saturdays, field trip options, numerous all-inclusive holiday and summer camp options to promote inclusion, volunteer opportunities for students age 14+ to achieve required hours for school programs, along with collaborations with both Georgia Southern University and SCAD senior and graduate students.
