Who We Are
WTOC news anchor Dawn Baker founded the nonprofit Dawn's Daughter in 2016. Its' programs are based on Dawn's book, Dawn's Daughter: All A Woman Needs to Know, based on Dawn's own experiences. Ms. Baker developed the content into a program for high school girls, linked to the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System's building character curriculum.
What We Do
Provide character development and leadership training to female high school students in Chatham, Bryan, Effingham and Liberty counties, in a year long program of after school workshops and events.
