For critically ill or injured children and their families, the Ronald McDonald House Charities© (RMHC©) of the Coastal Empire can be the most important House they will ever visit.

RMHC© of the Coastal Empire is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that provides a restful, comfortable place for children and their families to find refuge and support as they receive medical treatment at our nearby hospitals.

Through our three core programs, the Ronald McDonald House©, the Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms©, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile© we focus on helping children heal faster, cope better, and stay healthy.

To create, find and support programs that directly enhance the well-being of children and families. Provide temporary lodging for the families of seriously ill children being treated at local area hospitals. Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire assists in improving the well-being of children and their families by effectively operating the House to meet their immediate needs and by supporting other community-based programs.

In 1974, an unlikely partnership between the Children’s Hospital, The Philadelphia Eagles Football team and a restaurateur (Ray Kroc) gave us the House we know as The Ronald McDonald House©. In 1987, the 100th House was built here in Savannah Georgia, now known as The Ronald McDonald House Charities© of the Coastal Empire. It is known as the “House That Love Built”, and we would love to tell you about it.
