CENTER OF HOPE
The Salvation Army of Savannah operates the area’s only 24 hour, 365-day-a-year emergency shelter for men, women and children at 3100 Montgomery Street. The emergency shelter and transitional housing programs provide lodging, meals, personal hygiene items, clothing, employment assistance and casework services with in-depth assessment of circumstances that led to homelessness. The Salvation Army Case Managers work one-on-one with each resident to formulate a plan toward self-sufficiency and stable housing.

The Salvation Army of Savannah successfully manages two Family Thrift Stores. Our Family Stores recycle usable goods donated from the community and offer them for sale at a fraction of their value. The proceeds support and sustain the many programs that we offer to meet the needs of individuals throughout the year.
