Every year, United Way of the Coastal Empire invests in the nonprofits that keep our communities strong — the ones feeding families, housing neighbors, training workers, and supporting children across Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Liberty, and Long counties. But who decides where that funding goes? People like you.
As a Community Investments Volunteer, you'll review grant applications, meet the leaders doing the work, and help make sure every dollar goes where it's needed most. You don't need to be an expert — just someone who cares about this region and wants to see it thrive.
What it takes: About 4 hours a week for 10 weeks (February–April 2026).
What you'll do: Help decide which local programs get funded — and which families, kids, and communities get support.
Who we need: Thoughtful people. Fair-minded people. People willing to listen, collaborate, and show up. Your perspective matters. Your time shapes real impact. Ready to get involved?
