Who We Are
Greenbriar was founded over 75 years ago in Savannah by members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter, with help from local churches, led by First African Baptist Church. The mission of Greenbriar is to help nurture children and strengthen families.
Over many years, Greenbriar has offered multiple programs to our community, but over the last several years, in accordance with our strategic plan, we have focused almost exclusively on the importance of early childhood education. Our goal is to provide quality education and care to children ages six weeks to four years of age, recognizing that this is a significant time for brain development which can impact a child's future learning potential.
What We Do
We provide affordable and accessible childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years of age on the west/south side of Savannah, in a newly constructed childcare center, located within walking distance of Beach High School, Derenne Middle School, Hodge Elementary School and Building Bridges Academy.
