We are a group of caring volunteer-professionals from various fields who have a commitment to help children and families to be healthy, responsible, and addiction-free. Through the Celebrating Families and Strengthening Families programs, we facilitate a 16-week parenting and communication skills curriculum to parents in recovery and their children who are impacted by alcohol and drug dependence. The Celebrating Families and Strengthening Families programs are conducted between the months of August and June.

We provide highly effective training to strengthen families ordered to attend parenting classes by the Family Dependency Treatment Court (FDTC). We educate families about making healthier life choices to aid in the recovery process from substance abuse. Many of our families are actively pursuing completion of The Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) reunification case plan. We provide a safe and supportive environment where parents and their children can learn effective parenting and communication skills, respectively. Dinner is served as part of each 3 hour, weekly, training session, which allows parents time to visit with their children.
