Who We Are

A licensed non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue organization, the mission of One Love Animal Rescue, Inc. is to help abandoned, neglected, abused, and unwanted pets by partnering with shelters, rescue groups, and the community to facilitate the adoption of these animals into permanent and loving homes.

What We Do

Our goal is to save one life at a time by promoting local animal shelter adoptions and raising awareness in our community about responsible pet ownership. We strive to highlight the importance of spaying or neutering pets which will aid in the reduction of overpopulation. We believe that appropriate and positive reinforcement training and socialization of these shelter animals will lead to well-adjusted family pets, thereby decreasing the number of abandoned animals in shelters. Our dream is that one day all the shelters will be empty because every pet will have a home.

Foster Care Program

Our Foster Care Program is a critical piece of our lifesaving efforts and hundreds of lives can be saved each year if we can maintain an extensive Foster Network. When an animal is sick or injured or just needs someone to teach him basic manners and basic training, foster parents help fill the gap between the time the animal is brought into the Animal Control Shelters and the time they are adopted.

Foster parents can choose to foster kittens or puppies, pregnant mothers who should not be giving birth in a shelter environment, or any other dog or cat that fits in with your family’s home.  There are also times when the shelters have cats and dogs who are ill or injured and need a short recuperative stay in someone’s home until they are adoptable. Our foster program gives parents a comprehensive manual and the support of our Foster Coordinator.   Currently, the foster animals are taken into your home knowing that you will be physically and emotionally supportive of the animal until they are adopted. One Love supports their foster animals 100% with vetting and supplies as long as funds are available.  We do hold and attend adoption events to allow your pets to be seen and adopted out and ask for your participation in at least 2 events per month.  One Love host training sessions for our dogs and also asks the foster homes to attend 2 training classes per month with their foster dog.

We need foster homes to help us save lives. Join us in this extremely rewarding experience. We need you!

Operation Pet Solutions

Operation Pet Solutions

A grassroots community outreach program designed to keep pets in their homes and engage pet owners in proper care, vetting, and sterilization of their pets.

As many of the rescues in the area understand, we cannot adopt or transport our way out of the current overpopulation crisis. Therefore, One Love has created a new program called OLAR Operation Pet Solutions (OPS). Utilizing the Humane Society of the United State’s Pets for Life model, OLAR OPS is a grassroots community outreach program designed to keep pets in their homes and engage pet owners in proper care, vetting, and sterilization of their pets by offering free services including essential vaccines, spay/neuter vouchers to include leashes and collars, if needed, of owned pets. All we ask is that the owners pay $8 per pet for pain medication after surgery. We hope in the future we can provide pet food, dog houses, and fence repairs. The goal is to reduce the number of pets surrendered by giving pet owners the resources they need to keep their pets and by preventing unwanted litters.
