The National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive is the largest food drive of the year and it is back after a two-year break due to the pandemic.
How can you participate? Simply leave a bag of nonperishable food next to your mailbox for pick up on Saturday, May 14, and your letter carrier will handle the rest! All local donations will then be delivered to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. Donate items such as canned meats, tuna, soup, vegetables and juice, dry pasta, cereal, peanut butter, and rice. Please do not include items that have been opened, expired, or are in glass containers.
The Stamp Out Hunger! Food Drive comes at a time when the holiday food drive donations have been depleted from the shelves of the food bank and just in time for local pantries and agencies to gear up for their summer needs.
