An Open House training is scheduled for Tuesday, July 26 - Thursday, July 28th. Come by anytime from 9am - 4:30pm for just 20 minutes.
Savannah Speech & Hearing has offered free hearing screenings to our community since 1954. Hearing screenings are essential to identifying hearing loss and ensuring that it be properly addressed. Our local schools have called on our Center to perform these simple, remote screenings from August - October this year with the help of volunteers.
Screenings are conducted with simple, portable audiometers and training is quick and easy!
All screenings are arranged and supervised by staff of the Savannah Speech & Hearing Center - you will not be on your own!
Volunteers will be assigned to work with a Savannah Speech & Hearing Center Staff member at a local school. Prior to assignment, a no cost mandatory background check will be done. Additional information may be requested. Individual screening dates and information will be provided by Savannah Speech & Hearing staff who will oversee the screening process at each school.
We have need this year more so than in many years past because so many schools canceled screenings during the pandemic.
