Purpose: A Saturday Market Set-Up Volunteer is to assist Forsyth Farmers’ Market Vendors setting up their booths for the market. The volunteer assistance will ensure all vendors booths are ready for the Saturday Market in Forsyth Park that begins at 9 am.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist vendors with operations of their booth during the market
- Watch a vendor booth for a few minutes while they need to step away during the market
Length of Volunteer Shift: Each vendor assistance shift will take place every Saturday from 7:30-9:30am Total volunteer hours will be 2 for this shift.
Time Commitment: Individuals can choose to sign up as recurring volunteers or one time volunteers. Forsyth Farmers’ Market does not require a time commitment for their volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Should be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Should be able to be on their feet, standing and walking around for the duration of two hours
Support: There is no training for the position. Each Saturday the volunteer checks in at the Forsyth Farmers’ Market information tent to be assigned a vendor to work with or tasks to complete. If there are questions, concerns, or issues during the shift, the Programs director, Market Operations Coordinator and/or Program & Development VISTA will be available to assist the volunteer.
Age Requirement: 16 and older
Dress Code: Respectful and comfortable clothing. You will be outside the entire time. Please dress according to the weather. Please wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes as you will be walking around a lot on pavement and grass.
