Step Up Savannah educates the public about poverty through an experiential learning tool called a "poverty simulation." We require 15 volunteers to make this event successful. Volunteers act out the role of a provider in our community as participants act out four weeks of living in poverty.
We do ask that volunteers have already participated in our poverty simulations; however, exceptions will be made.
