upports the well-being of Resource Center visitors by assisting kitchen staff with a variety of tasks to ensure the kitchen and dining area are well-run and available to support the needs of Resource Center visitors.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Commitment to support Union Mission and its mission to prevent and end homelessness in Savannah
- Completion of Volunteer Application
TASKS: Some or all of the following tasks may be required:
- Assist with basic food preparation, including chopping and dicing large quantities (i.e. 50 lb. bags), and food packaging.
- Making coffee and preparing the area for breakfast service.
- Assisting kitchen personnel with line service
- Maintaining safe and sanitary food handling and service procedures
- Serving clients in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner
- Cleaning the kitchen and dining area before and after food service
- Emptying and changing trash receptacles during and after meal service
