Brightside currently operates two Supervised Visitation Centers serving youth involved in the foster care and family law systems. We are in the process of consolidating both locations into one shared space, which will allow us to better serve children and families in a more centralized and welcoming environment.
We are seeking volunteers to assist with moving furniture, cleaning, organizing, and helping us finalize the transition as we prepare to fully vacate the current houses. The new location is approximately two blocks from our existing visitation centers.
Volunteer dates:
• Friday, May 29 - 929 Wheaton St., Savannah, GA
• Saturday, May 30 - 705 Harmon St., Savannah, GA
Volunteers are welcome anytime between 10:00 AM–3:00 PM and are not required to stay for the full duration.
We are hoping to have 4–5 volunteers each day. Some lifting and moving of furniture will be required, so we encourage volunteers to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
Volunteers who are able to provide a truck with a bed would be especially helpful, and dollies or other moving equipment would also be greatly appreciated. While we will have a U-Haul available, additional vehicles will help reduce the number of trips needed during the move.
