When school is out for the summer, it can be particularly challenging for children at risk of hunger to access proper nutrition, as free and reduced-price school lunches are not available. Through the Summer Feeding program, we provide breakfast and a hot meal for the children who need them. During this volunteer opportunity in May, we will be packing shelf-stable breakfast packs to be transported to our partner distribution sites in June.
*Closed-toed shoes are required. Please bring your own water bottle. Volunteers of ages 13 and up are welcome, but those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
