What to Expect
This is a more physical role—volunteers should be prepared to lift up to 30 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Our market staff and manager will be on site to train you, answer questions, and guide you throughout your shift. Volunteers get to enjoy the festive atmosphere of Savannah’s most beloved market, work with the best seasonal produce and farm products Coastal Georgia has to offer, and connect with both local residents and visitors.
Duties: Market Break-Down (Afternoon)
Lend a hand behind the scenes with:

Taking down market tents and tables

Assisting vendors with moving produce, food products, and merchandise to their tents

Providing light customer service or sales help, if needed

Supporting vendors as they pack up merchandise and load vehicles at the end of the day

Helping market staff with packing up the operations equipment
