Greetings Potential New Volunteer!!
We are thrilled that you are interested in Georgia Regional Hospital Savannah for completing volunteer hours! We are an inpatient forensic psychiatric hospital with a co-ed adult population that treats mostly schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders, and several others.

All volunteers must:
- be over the age of 18
- complete volunteer application and agreement (located on link provided)
- sign HIPAA & confidentiality forms (located on link provided)
- provide TB (PPD) skin test results from within the last year (can be done at health dept)
- complete a background check (provided by GRHS)
- complete flu vaccination form if volunteering between October-March(consent or refusal - - offered for free at GRHS)
Required trainings:
- volunteer orientation meeting (includes background check registration, volunteer expectations, policy review)
- 30 min sexual harassment video training (completed on first day)
I know this looks like a lot, but I promise we can assist you through the steps easily. Please keep in mind all direct engagement volunteering is offered only Monday - Friday 8am-4pm.
