Volunteers are needed to assist Historic Savannah Foundation in launching the initial phase of rehabilitation for the newly acquired Revolving Fund property, located at 510 E. Jones Street.
Tasks may include the following: removing items, loading U-haul, sweeping, clearing, removing carpet, mowing, cleaning windows, picking up trash, light paint removal, pruning, weeding of tree wells, securing floors, etc. Volunteers should be able to lift heavy loads of 30 lbs.
Volunteers will clean up three focus areas:
1) Yard/Tree Lawn (clearing and cutting)
2) Interior (debris removal; removal of furniture and misc. items left behind, general cleaning/sweeping)
3) Exterior (Re-securing windows by putting ply wood back up)

Clean Up Duration: 7:30 AM - Noon
Volunteer report time: 7:15 AM
Volunteer check-in: Front of the property on Jones Street.
Parking: Street parking along Jones Street, east and west of Price.
Attire: Dress appropriately for work conditions, keeping in mind you will be getting dirty. No loose jewelry. Wear closed shoes, no sandals or flip-flops allowed for safety reasons.
Fuel: Coffee and an assortment of biscuits/donuts will be provided. (Water too.)
Supplies: Supplies and tools will be provided, however, if you have supplies that can be useful please feel free to bring them along (i.e. gloves, safety goggles, shovels, brooms, weed whacker etc.).
Safety: Please exercise general caution. Volunteers will need to sign a release waiver.
