When school is out for the summer, it can be especially challenging for children at-risk for hunger to have access to proper nutrition as free and reduced-price school lunches are not available. With the Summer Feeding program, we provide breakfast and a hot meal for the kids that need them. During this volunteer opportunity, we will be packing shelf stable breakfast packs to be transported to our partner distribution sites.
*Closed-toed shoes required. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Per CDC guidelines, NON-VACCINATED employees and volunteers must continue to properly wear masks (covering nose and mouth) on all Second Harvest premises.
Based on the new guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control regarding fully vaccinated individuals Second Harvest has updated its employee and volunteer mask policy.
Effective immediately FULLY VACCINATED (at least two weeks have passed from your final vaccination dose) employees and volunteers DO NOT need to wear a mask while on Second Harvest property. Fully vaccinated employees and volunteers may continue to wear a mask on property if they choose.
