This project will include visiting homeless camps throughout the Savannah area and meeting with the individuals to request they take a survey. With your help, this information will help to determine the best outcomes in assisting the housing insecure community.
We will also provide items to give to the survey participants (socks, sleeping bags etc.) All materials and donations will be provided
**Escorts will be present and accompany volunteers in all camps**
A few notes:
- Wear a Face Mask to Protect Each other and Social Distance
- Work in pairs and always stay within eyesight of others
- Be easily visible by wearing white or bright colors. Dress comfortably and appropriately for cold weather
- Always stay alert of your surrounding
- Do not pressure anyone to participate in the survey
- Bring your fully charged phone
Note: SCMPD Officers have been made aware of locations/areas that will be visited thru the duration of the PIT.
