Volunteer Job Title: Farm Truck 912 Friday Pop-Up Volunteer
Purpose: A Farm Truck 912 Volunteer is to assist Farm Truck Coordinator with preparing and moving produce from the FFM freezer onto the truck. The volunteer assistance will ensure Farm Truck 912 is adequately equipped and on time for the daily stops.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Farm Truck 912 Coordinator with loading the produce on the truck
- Assist Farm Truck 912 Coordinator with ensuring the paperwork and truck are ready for the daily stops
- Saturday Farm Truck 912 volunteers will assist the Farm Truck 912 coordinator with while at the Saturday Market to purchase produce
Length of Volunteer Shifts: A Farm Truck 912 Volunteer shift will be at least 4 hours long. This timing includes helping the Farm Truck Coordinator with loading and unloading the truck at the FFM office before and after the stop.
Time Commitment: Individuals can choose to sign up as recurring volunteers, by a week to week basis or one time volunteers. Forsyth Farmers’ Market does not require a time commitment for their volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Should be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Should be able to be on their feet, standing and walking around for the duration of two hours
Support: There is no training for the position. The volunteer will check in at Farm Truck 912 which will be located at the Forsyth Farmers’ Market Office for the Friday shifts. If there are questions, concerns, or issues during the shift, the Farm Truck Coordinator and/or Program & Development VISTA will be available to assist the volunteer.
Age Requirement: 18 and older
Dress Code: Respectful and comfortable clothing. You will be outside the entire time. Please dress according to the weather. Please wear comfortable closed-toed shoes as you will be walking around a lot on pavement and grass while lifting and moving boxes of produce.
