Bilingual Reception Volunteer Position Effingham & Chatham

(Interested volunteers must pass background check)

GROW Initiative GA is seeking compassionate bilingual volunteers to greet  participants, welcome visitors, and serve as the first point of contact for people reaching out to our organization.  GROW Initiative GA is dedicated to improving the lives of underserved, low-wealth, and marginalized individuals by promoting community engagement, equity, and access to essential resources in education, health and nutrition, and overall well-being. Our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a healthy, fulfilling life, regardless of their socio-economic status or background. Responsibilities:  

  • Greet participants and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. 
  • Assist participants by providing program information, making appointments, and connecting them with the appropriate staff members. 
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, and text messages in a professional manner. 
  • Take messages and relay information accurately to the appropriate parties. 
  • Coordinate and implement program registration and support as needed.
  • Assist with participant intake processPrepare necessary items for participant meetings
  • Work closely with Grow Initiative GA staff to address immediate needs and concerns. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless flow of information.  

Time Commitment 

Flexible scheduling options are available. We ask that you make a commitment of 8 -20 hours per week, depending on your availability and participants’ needs.
