We are excited to announce the First Annual RISE 8th Grade Experience, taking place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Georgia Southern University – Armstrong Campus Student Union from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This dynamic event will welcome more than 1,000 8th graders from across the Savannah Region for a full day of hands-on activities and interactive exhibits. Students will explore high-demand career pathways such as manufacturing, logistics, and assembly, while engaging directly with local industry professionals who can inspire their future career choices. To make this day a success, we are seeking volunteers to help with event setup, student rotations, and general support throughout the day. Your involvement will ensure a smooth experience for all participants and contribute to sparking career curiosity among our region’s future workforce.
Volunteer Details:
• Date: Thursday, October 23, 2025
• Arrival Time: 8:30 AM (for setup and orientation) • Event Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Various shifts are available)
• Location: Georgia Southern University – Armstrong Campus Student Union
Lunch and refreshments will be provided for all volunteers. Your time and support will help create an engaging and memorable experience for students as they discover the many career opportunities available right here in our region.
