Volunteers are needed at Horsin' Around for various tasks around the farm, including building, hanging gates, running some fence and installing posts. Horsin' Around is a 501c3 non-profit that works to enhance the development, both physically and mentally, of special needs individuals utilizing the unique assets provided by horseback riding and human interaction.
The organization is taking special precautions to enhance the safety of their volunteers including:
- All volunteers are asked to bring their own work gloves (heavy duty ones for heavy work)
- All volunteers are required to bring and wear a mask. We will have some disposable ones on hand just in case.
- We will set up a handwashing station with soap, sanitizer and paper towels.
- The volunteers should understand this is a constructions site and while we will do everything in our power to keep everyone safe some of the work will not allow for 6 ft of distance between people.
