The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire is currently seeking volunteer mediators to mediate cases for State, Magistrate, Probate and Superior Court. These volunteers help parties save time, money and stress by reaching an agreement without litigation. Volunteers will be required to complete General Civil Mediation Training.
- Facilitate mediation sessions for various case types, including civil disputes, family matters, and small claims.
- Guide parties through the mediation process, making sure that all voices are heard and fostering open communication.
- Assist in identifying common ground and exploring mutually beneficial solutions.
- Maintain a neutral and impartial stance, promoting a collaborative environment for resolution.
- Document agreements and ensure that all parties understand the terms before concluding sessions.
